Assumptions
- Adjacent perimeter centerlines are spaced by the selected line width.
- Wall thickness is approximated as line count × line width.
- The slicer does not insert gap fill or vary line width.
Limitations
- Arachne/variable-width slicing, overlap, corner behavior, dimensional compensation, and material expansion can change actual walls.
- Line-width ratios are context, not a machine safety certification; follow nozzle and slicer guidance.

Must line width equal nozzle diameter?
No. Slicers often use a nearby value, but reliable ranges depend on the nozzle, layer height, material, and slicer.
What does “at least” do?
It rounds up to the first whole number of lines that meets or exceeds the target thickness.
Why might a slicer disagree?
Modern slicers can vary extrusion width, overlap lines, or add gap fill, while this planner uses fixed-width lines.
